Pedophiles 'Paid 10yo Rent Boy'

TWO pedophiles completely corrupted five neighbourhood boys over a nine-year period, including a 10-year-old "rent boy" they paid for sex acts, a Brisbane court has been told.
The men, aged 50 and 29, seduced and groomed the neighbourhood boys, endearing themselves to their parents and setting up their house as a veritable playpen for pre-adolescent boys, the Director of Public Prosecutions Leanne Clare said.
"This is a case that strongly demonstrates the insidious nature of pedophilia and the ongoing cycle of devastation it leaves," Ms Clare told the Brisbane District court.
"The boys were completely corrupted by these two men."
Today the men, who cannot be named, pleaded guilty to a number of charges including maintaining a relationship with a child under the age of 12 and exposing a child to an indecent act.
Ms Clare told the court between 1995 and 2004, the men abused five boys who were all aged between nine and 10 years old when the abuse started, except for one boy who was aged 12 or 13.
She said the two men lived together and their house contained computers, playstations, bikes and video theatre projection screens to entice young boys from the neighbourhood.
One child, with intellectually impaired parents, was lured to the house on the promise of a BMX bike and subsequently became their "rent boy", according to Ms Clare.
She said there was a scale of money they would give him for sexual acts, ranging from $20 to $100.
Judge Ian Wylie, QC, adjourned the sentence until a later date.

Boy Rapist Had Been Target Of Predators

A 10-YEAR-OLD boy became a sexual predator after suffering more than a year of abuse at the hands of two pedophiles, the Brisbane District Court heard yesterday.
The boy, now aged 13, pleaded guilty earlier this week in the Brisbane Children's Court to four counts of rape and one count of unlawful carnal knowledge.
Crown Prosecutor Leanne Clare yesterday told the District Court that the two men responsible for the boy's demise met him at a library as a 10-year-old, lured him to their house with the promise of a BMX bike and within a week had sexually abused him.
Mrs Clare said the victim became their "rent boy" for the next 17 months and he was paid up to $100 to perform or allow various sexual acts including sodomy, group sex and oral sex, and being filmed while engaging in these activities.
A 50-year-old man and his 29-year-old partner yesterday pleaded guilty to 10 offences against five boys committed over a nine-year period between 1995 and 2004. This included two counts of maintaining a sexual relationship with a child, which can attract a maximum life sentence.
Ms Clare said the pair were "predators" who "hunted" young boys in their area, equipped their house with bikes and computer games to make it attractive to children, and befriended their parents so they would allow the children to sleep over.
She said the men moved house to be closer to the boy, who visited their home about every second day and earned about $500 from them which he said he spent mostly on lollies. The court also heard the men paid the boy $80 to introduce them to another young boy, which he did.
Mrs Clare said the systematic abuse was only discovered when the 13-year-old boy committed sexual offences against his two sisters and another child, and was investigated by police early last year.
Brisbane Children's Court earlier this week ordered a pre-sentence report on the boy.
During the hearing, the court heard he was in psychiatric care, had been in detention for a year and could not be returned to his home. He will be sentenced next month.
Mrs Clare yesterday said that when police searched the men's Brisbane home, they found videotapes of the men abusing the boy and an application for employment at a Brisbane youth centre.
"This case is exceptionally bad in its level of damage and debauchery . . ." she said.
Mrs Clare said a sentence of 17 to 20 years' jail would be suitable but defence counsel for the men argued for terms of between six and 11 years.
The lawyer for the 29-year-old man said his client was remorseful and had nominated for the sexual offenders program to be completed in jail. The court also heard he had been living with the older man since he was 14 years old.
Judge Ian Wylie ,QC, yesterday reserved his decision.
