Boy leaps from window to escape sex attack

A 17-year-old boy had to jump from the window of a two-storey building to escape his sexual attacker, a court has heard.
Peter Martin Guest, a former teacher, pleaded guilty in the Rockhampton District Court last week to one count of sexual assault.
Crown prosecutor Russell Hood said Guest taught the complainant for two years at a TAFE college in a Brisbane suburb.
Mr Hood said the 51-year-old invited the complainant on a trip to his mother's house in Emu Park in April, 2011.
The court heard the defendant bought the complainant alcohol, which they drank together once reaching Emu Park.
Mr Hood said Guest offered to give the boy a massage to help his sore back.
The boy lay on a double bed in one of the rooms at the house, wearing nothing but his underwear.
Guest suddenly pulled down the boy's underwear and when the boy looked behind him he saw Guest was also naked.
Guest climbed on top of the boy, but the complainant pushed him off and left the room.
Mr Hood said the boy attempted to sleep on the couch, but Guest tried to get under the covers with him.
The boy then shut himself in a room and jumped out of the window.
Fearful for his safety, he ran to the nearest house with lights on and called the police.
Mr Hood described the incident as "highly aggressive grooming".
Defence barrister Ross LoMonaco said his client was a manual arts teacher in a number of high schools in Central Queensland, before he became a TAFE teacher.
He said Guest thought the boy was 18 at the time of the offence and did not force himself on the boy once his sexual advances were rejected.
Judge David Reid sentenced Guest to 15 months jail, with a parole eligibility date of April 26 next
