The victim was a young boy who Hardy abused between the ages of 8-16yrs old. Hardy was a Marist school teacher (a teacher of religious education at a Sydney college) and a trainee Catholic Priest. Offence/ Other: Former head of the Brisbane Anglican Grammar/ Prep School (also former boarding housemaster). Pleaded guilty to 16 charges against 7 boys (boarders at the prep school),including 12 of indecent assault of a boy under 14 yrs. The sexual assaults occurred while he was housemaster and history teacher at the school between 1947-1955.He went onto teach for 40 yrs.
