Man On Child Porn Charges
JOONDALUP (Western Australia) - POLICE were called to Hillarys Boat
Harbour last Saturday after several visitors to the popular family beach
reported a man taking pictures of young children.
North West Metropolitan Police District spokesman Wayne Silver said the
man was allegedly seen taking photographs of children playing in and near
the water at the protected beach near The Great Escape waterslides.
He said several members of the public detained him until police
arrived at the scene.
Detective Senior Sergeant Silver, said police subsequently
searched his home in Maylands, seized computer equipment and a laptop
computer that allegedly contained pornographic images of children.
The 29-year-old man has since been charged with indecent recording of a
child under 13 years, possessing child pornography as well as minor drug
offences.
He will appear in court on Friday, January 28.
