Mum Raped in Revenge Attack in her Mome Too Scared to Return

A YOUNG mother raped by three men at knifepoint in her home two weeks ago never wants to return to the Mt Warren Park house at Logan, south of Brisbane.
The woman, 21, remains in the care of family and friends with her one-year-old daughter following the attack about 1.30pm on February 18.
Detective Inspector Brian Swan said police were investigating the possibility the horrific attack was a "get square" relating to activities involving the woman's partner.
"We're certainly investigating that along with other avenues," he said.
"I can understand why local residents would be concerned but I don't think there's any specific threat to other people."
Five detectives at Logan CIB are continuing to investigate the case, which has stunned the quiet neighbourhood where the woman lives.
Resident Rex Wright said everyone was keen to see the culprits caught.
"Some of the local retailers have put up the pictures of the three offenders and every young bloke that walks down the street is being closely scrutinised," Mr Wright said.
"There seems to be a general consensus that they're from the area or nearby. They know Mt Warren Park."
He said his own daughters had trawled through their high school yearbooks in an effort to identify the culprits.
"We'll all sleep a lot easier after they're caught," Mr Wright said.
The victim made a brave appeal for public information last week and, as a result, detectives received more than 50 calls to Crime Stoppers.
However Det Insp Swan said that, unfortunately, nothing had come of that information.
"The information varied from sightings of the offenders to people nominating an actual name," he said.
"Obviously we chased all that."
Det Insp Swan said police were still awaiting the results of forensic tests.
"We're looking at every avenue, every bit of information and I would encourage anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers," he sai
