Convicted Paedophile/ Sex Offender

Name: David Charles Coy

Age: 50yrs old (2004)

State: TAS/ VIC- Bendigo

Offence/ Sentence: Sentenced in the Launceston Supreme Court 8-12-2004 to 2yrs jail/ 12 months non parole. Found guilty on 3 counts of maintaining a sexual relationship with a person under 17yrs old.

Other: Pastor (Assembly of God), until 1999. Victims were 3 girls (two aged 10yrs/ third victim aged 12yrs/ sisters). Assaults occurred in the 1970’s in Devonport/ George Town, whilst Coy was a trainee priest. A fourth charge was dismissed. In 1992 Coy left Tasmania, and moved to Bendigo in Victoria to become a pastor.
